Inspired by Métis culture, this richly detailed scene was created by artist Cochrane, Ontario, Véro Filion, for the 2026 Villager Puzzles Call for Art. A fiddler plays near a riverside settlement as a paddler drifts by, alongside a bison, a Red River cart, and florals inspired by Métis beadwork, each symbolizing belonging and connection to the land. As the music rises, flowing Métis sashes become the northern lights, carrying culture between earth and spirit, past and present.

    Amazing!

I don't usually write reviews, but it seemed warranted here. I am constantly doing puzzles. This was my first from Villager. It may now be my favorite brand. I love the artwork on this which is why I bought it, but I was absolutely stunned at the high quality of the pieces. Simply the best quality I've encountered in a puzzle. The packaging is also the best I've seen. I pulled it out of the Puzzledly shipping box and I immediately got a warm fuzzy feeling from the message on the bottom of the box. Self care, a cup of tea, and my favorite playlist are exactly how I like to go about puzzling. I really love the image on the inside of the box, plus a perfectly sized poster. I used both of these as references throughout the building process. I just can't say enough good things about this. I proceeded to buy several more from Villager Puzzles.
