This puzzle was like comfort food at its best, Mom's old recipes zhuzhed up for a great bakeoff show. The set was cleverly photographed so that any given puzzle piece could be lots of different things: is this a striped flower petal, a ridge in a glass cake stand, or a tine of a fork? The quality of the pieces was very high: the matte finish was easier on my aging eyes, and not a single piece came apart or got bent or worn. Yes, there was **a lot** of pink. But combined with the yellow, it came off as cheerful and not cloying. If you're a person who remembers what cookbooks were before the internet, I predict you will really enjoy the nostalgia of this puzzle.
