For this puzzle, Paola Hirou created several illustrations depicting different places in the Normandy region such as Mont Saint-Michel, the port of Honfleur, the beach of Deauville, and the cliffs of Etretat. Paola Hirou trained in illustration in Lyon and experimented with various techniques and mediums such as painting, sculpture, and digital drawing. Today, her drawing style has developed into a more graphic and refined approach, using digital or gouache flat colors. She places great importance on color, deliberately limiting her palette to a few carefully chosen shades. Nature is her main source of inspiration.
