Drawing on influences as varied as Leonora Carrington, Persian miniature painting, and Mexican biombo screens, Bates mines her bicultural upbringing, bridging the cloud forests of Costa Rica with rural Vermont to create richly patterned, dreamlike paintings that defy categorization. Larissa Bates was born in Burlington in 1981, and grew up between Vermont and San Rafael de Vara Blanca, Costa Rica. She has had solo exhibitions nationally and internationally, including Monya Rowe Gallery (New York), GNYP Gallery (Berlin), Richard Heller Gallery (Los Angeles). In 2026 she had her first museum solo exhibition at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.

PUZZLE INFORMATION

 1000 piece puzzle

Completed puzzle is 26.5" x 19.25"

Made in the US

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0279/7325/5307/files/f93a868cc290b293a8296686bce8fb3e4e255c83fef209e20e7bbb3d6ca6e6c3.jpg?v=1791471847
https://www.puzzledly.com/en-au/products/curandera-hera-and-zuess-with-a-pbj-1-000-piece-jigsaw-puzzle
